It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn Ford on July 24, 2024, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Evelyn was born on June 6, 1967, to Michael Ford and Sheila Cornish-Ford.

Evelyn was a devoted wife to Julian Smith, whom she married in the year 10. Together, they raised three children, Ashton Smith Jr, Kaylon Smith Jr ll, and Ashland Ford. Evelyn was also a proud grandmother of two beloved grandchildren.

Evelyn attended Cottage Grove High School and graduated in 1987. She went on to further her education at Governors State University. Evelyn was active in the Church organization and found comfort in Bible Study. She was a beloved member of the community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

On July 24, 2024, Evelyn passed away due to a Heart Attack. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
