Eugene "Gene" W. AdamsEugene "Gene" Wesley Adams passed away peacefully on December 1, 2016 at age 87. He was surrounded by his family.Who would have known the feisty baby boy born on March 9, 1929 in Clarinda Iowa would leave such a profound legacy of unconditional love, respect, kindness, and unending humor.Gene served as a young sailor in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Decades later he retired from an illustrious career as an aerospace quality control engineer at General Electric. He took with him secrets and mysteries of that era.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth "Big Red" Adams, five children, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grand-daughters.A private family memorial will be held with his ashes interred at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery.
