Trepanier, EugeneEugene "Gene" Trepanier 85, Oconto passed away peacefully with family by his side Saturday November 19, 2016. He was born on April 1, 1931 in Oconto to the late William and Lorena (Brabant) Trepanier. After graduating from Oconto High School, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska for most of his time. He was past Commander of the Jones-Modrow-Young Oconto American Legion Post #74. He loved fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. Survivors include 5 children Kathy (Dean) Barret, Kansas City, MO; William (Janice) Trepanier, Cedar Grove; Donald (Leanne) Trepanier, Oconto; Joanne (Al) Normann, Buckner, MO; Sue Trepanier, Kansas City, MO; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter. He was further survived by his siblings Jack Trepanier, Oconto; Tom Trepanier, Oconto; Jane (Lanny) Chartier, Loveland, CO; Mary Rose (Mike) Van Deraa; 1 brother-in-law Corliss Lightner, Oconto; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Janet Trepanier and Joyce Lightner; 1 brother Lee Trepanier; 2 sisters-in-law Mary and Nancy Trepanier. Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto on Sunday from 4-7 pm. Parish Wake Service 7 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home with Deacon Walt Kaszynski officiating. Visitation will continue at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto from 9-10:30 am Monday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Monday November 28, 2016 at the Church with Father Joel Sember officiating.
