LIGONIER — Eugene Hall, age 68, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 24, 1947, in Wheelwright, Kentucky, the son of Edward and Margaret (Bailey) Hall. On May 9, 1967, he married Christene Miller; she preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2006. He is survived by nine children, Regena (Scott Huffer) Slone, Loretta (Mark Medley) Hall, Margaret England, Bonnie (Mike) Hoff, Johnny Hall, Elvis Hall, Christene Hall, April Hall, and Justin Hall; 22 grandchildren; nine-grandchildren; siblings, Louise LeCount, Helen Hall, Lucille Hall, Vernon (Wanda) Hall, Lois (Merlin Sr.) Isaac, Billy (Brenda) Hall, Peggy (Eleazar) Cadena, John (Monica) Hall, and Teresa Gaff. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eddie and Ralph Hall. Eugene was a huge Elvis fan and loved his family above all else. A funeral service in Eugene's honor will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. Pastor Zachery Snyder of Zion Assembly Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
