Eugene E. CarrollEugene E. Carroll (95) passed away peacefully at his home on Feb 8, 2017. He was born on Jan 3, 1922 in Brighton, WI. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and spent his military career as a pilot. During that time he met his wife, Mary (deceased) at Hickam AFB in Hawaii and they were married in 1955. They had 2 sons, Brian (deceased) and Cory. Gene retired from the service at Lowry AFB in 1963. He and Mary built their retirement home in Glacier View Meadows and were very active members of the community. They loved to travel and enjoyed many trips overseas. After moving to Fort Collins, Gene drove for SAINT for several years.Ever the pragmatist, as the end of his life neared Gene began the process of qualifying for Colorado End of Life Options. He was partway through the process and under the care of Pathways Hospice when he died. He lived a good, long life and is survived by his son (Cory) his daughter-in-law (Shelly) and his two grandsons (Andy) and (Matt).
