Ethel Mae Baumgarner, many people knew her as "Granny", joined Jesus on Friday, September 26, 2014. She was born on October 31, 1928 to John Dewey Little Sr. and Martha Woods Little in Williamsport, PA. Ethel Mae married Sidney David Baumgarner on February 12, 1949. They had four sons, Les, Chuck, Stacy, and Brad. In 1959, Ethel Mae and her family moved to Yuma, AZ. She worked for many years in the cafeterias for Crane School District. She was a giving; caring person who understood the importance of spending quality time with loved ones. Ethel Mae was happiest when cooking for family and friends. She surrounded herself with children-her own, those in the neighborhood, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, singing, dancing, cooking and playing. She didn't mind the chaos that came with it.Ethel Mae is survived by three of her sons, Les (Eula) of Yuma, AZ, Chuck (Tracey) of Fraser, MI, and Brad (Martha) of Ahwatukee, AZ; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Ila Peet of Clearwater, FL and Liz Rennells of Bradenton, FL; brother-in-law, Gene Baumgarner of Phoenix, AZ. Ethel Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Sid; son, Stacy; parents; and siblings.There will be a Celebration of Life service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Connecting Point Church of the Nazarene, 1900 S. Avenue A, Yuma, AZ with Rev. Raymond Jesser, Rev. Stephen McLanahan of Connecting Point Church of the Nazarene, and Chaplain Ed from Hospice of Yuma officiating.
