Esther M. (Beck) Alguire, 89, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on July 12, 2017, after a lengthy illness. She was born on August 25, 1927 to Oscar E. Tippett, Sr. and Ethel (Workman) Tippett in Pekin, Illinois. She was a very active in her church and at the Tallahassee Senior Center where she was a volunteer for over 15 years. She enjoyed playing games and visiting with people, she never met a stranger.She was predeceased by her parents, husbands Richard Beck and Percy Alguire, daughter Gloria Beck and 7 brother and 5 sisters. She is survived by her sons Carl Beck, Roger (Ruth) Beck, her daughter Ruth (David) Ficklen all of Tallahassee, grandsons Timothy (Kristina) Beck, Christopher Beck, granddaughter Tiffany Beck, great granddaughters Angelica Tejada, Kinzley Beck and great grandson Elliott Tejada, brothers Robert (Martha) Tippett, Paul (Patsy) Tippett, sisters Beverly Savage, Eileen (Jim) Hall and numerous nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2017, also at Culley's Timberlane Road location.
