Esteban Ramirez VelasquezSan AngeloEsteban Ramirez Velasquez, 72, of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at his residence.Esteban was born on Oct. 7, 1944, to Manuel and Juanita (Ramirez) Velasquez in San Angelo. Esteban worked as a brick mason. On Sept. 7, 1973, he married Irene Littleton Mayo in San Angelo. Esteban proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Esteban had a kind and gentle spirit and loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart.Esteban is survived by his three brothers, Bruno Velasquez, Sr., Santos Velasquez, Manuel Velasquez all of San Angelo; along with numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by parents, Manuel and Juanita Velasquez, brother, Jose Velasquez, sister, Olivia Garza, sister, Felicitas Velasquez.A family memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the family's home located at 2319 Stanton St, San Angelo, Texas 76901.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Hospice of San Angelo for their care and support; along with his niece, Janette Saucedo for all the love and special care she showed Esteban to the end.
