Ernest Collins of Eveleth, Minnesota, went to heaven on February 17,2025, at the age of 83. Born on May 1, 1941 in Fresno, California, he was the son of Ernest Bryan and Dovie Jane. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1959. He then proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He spent a few years working as a logger and then took up Long Haul trucking. He leaves behind daughters Melinda, Julie and Susan as well as grandchildren Joshua, Rachel, Seth and Nicholas. Ernest lived a life filled with joy and love. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his community. He was also known for his deep faith in Jesus Christ. Ernest had a passion for leather working which he shared with others. He was a great friend to man and beast, especially bears He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laughter, and his ability to bring light into the lives of those around him. Ernest leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
