Erma May Bergandy, 101, of Sunbury, died Sunday, August 11, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 14, 1917 in Woodstock, Ohio to Theodore and Elizabeth Alden.
Erma had a love of art, poetry, skilled in needlework, and painting. She was always there to help others in time of need. She was a longtime member of the Sunbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Adelaide, Susie, and Eleanor; sons, Allen, Edward, James, Robert, and Jeffrey; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 siblings- five sisters and five brothers; husband, Frank Bergandy (1983); and grandson, Scott Bergandy (1988).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of her childhood church toward restorations at Woodstock Universalist Church, c/o Woodstock Lions Club P.O. Box 202, Woodstock, OH 43084
A celebration of life will be held on Friday from 1:00 - 4:00 at the Bergandy residence in Sunbury. Please join the family in sharing of fond memories you had with Erma during her time here on earth.
