Erle Thomas "Tom" Williams, Jr.ROSEVILLE: Erle Thomas "Tom" Williams, Jr. 78, of Roseville, passed away at 7:30 AM, at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 10, 2014 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.Tom was born on July 19, 1935, the son of the late Erle Thomas Williams, Sr. and Mabel Wahl Williams.Tom was owner and operator of the family business, Williams Auto Parts along with his father and son, Tommy for many years. He ran a towing service, operated Tom's Car Wash and was a school bus driver for Roseville Local Schools. After retiring from the family business in 2007, he continued to work on cars for his family and many long time customers until his illness would not permit him. He had many years of volunteer service with the Roseville Fire Department where he held various offices. Tom was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing the slot machines at Wheeling Island Casino. He was also a lifetime member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roseville. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Marilyn Kay Wagstaff Williams of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy Samson of Roseville, Beth and Kim Rice of Zanesville and Holly and Steve Jeffers of Roseville; his sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Harold Smith of Duncan Falls and Sue Jenkins of Zanesville; his six grandchildren and his ten great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his only son, Erle Thomas "Tommy" Williams III, who passed away July 24, 2007; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Lawrence Maxwell and Donna and Gerald Launder.Family and friends will be received 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Tom's life will be Monday, July 14th, at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 104 N. Main St., Roseville, with Reverend Albert Lease officiating.
