Erik Henry JensenMarch 29, 1969 - May 4, 2016ERIK HENRY JENSEN (Rick), 47, of Logan, Utah, passed away on Wednesday May 4, 2016. Erik was born on March 29, 1969, in Van Nuys, California. His loving parents Elwynn H. Jensen (Wynn) and Juanita Snow Jensen and sister Jana were excited to add a son and brother to the family. His father worked for an oil company and the family lived in many places throughout the United States. At the early age of five he lived in Korea for two years. As they returned to the United Sates his father took the family on a trip around the world. This experience sparked an interest in world affairs which he maintained throughout his life. Erik attended junior high school and high school in Atlanta, Georgia. There he was a member of an elite group of students with high IQ's. This group was sponsored and funded by the U.S. government. He graduated from high school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Utah State University where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. There he made many life-long friends. He completed an associate degree in drafting and design at ITT in Denver, Colorado. Jackson, Wyoming, became his home until he returned to Logan, Utah, three years ago. Here he reconnected with his college Sigma Chi friends. Erik was currently working for Novak Conversions as a sales technician.Erik was happiest in the outdoors, skiing, biking, hiking or camping. He loved good music, cooking and spending time with family and friends. He often held parties at his home for friends with wonderful homemade foods of a wide variety. He was a very loving, kind and generous person, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was very knowledgeable about computers and spent hours helping others with their computers.He was predeceased by his mother, Juanita Snow Jensen, grandparents, and one cousin. He is survived by his loving father, Wynn Jensen; his stepmother, Darlene Meservy-Jensen; a sister, Jana Jensen Gentry; brother-in-law, Greg Gentry; niece Erin Gentry and nephew Ryan Gentry. He is also survived by two step-brothers, Chris Burrows, Lon Brian and his wife Julie; Rachel Moon, who is like a sister, whom he met while living in Korea, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at noon at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah. At his request he will be cremated. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Erik H. Jensen's name to a .
