Baier, Eric J.Eric J. Baier, 29, of Eden, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at home.He was born on April 6, 1988, in West Bend, the son of Paul W. and Becky G. Ward Baier. Eric was a 2006 graduate of Slinger High School. As a youngster, Eric had a dream to be a Marine. Following graduation, he pursued his dream by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He received his training in San Diego and served a tour in Afghanistan. He was proud to be a Marine and had plans to serve for many more years. Eric was active duty, as a Staff Sergeant, at the time of his death.Survivors include his mother, Becky (Bill) Derdelinghen of Eden; his father, Paul Baier of West Bend; two brothers: Paul Baier of West Bend and Chris (Belle) Baier of Hartford; his son: Gabe; his aunt, Regina Baier of Sparta; and his uncle, Roland Baier of Sextonville, Wisconsin.Eric was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.VISITATION: Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 31 E. In recognition of Eric's military service, full military honors will be performed.
