SHIPSHEWANA — Elwyn J. Frain, 75, of Shipshewana died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange surrounded by his family. He was born on Aug. 17, 1940, in LaGrange County to Atlee and Beulah (Eberly) Frain. Elwyn was a lifetime resident of LaGrange County and a graduate of Topeka High School in 1958. He worked in construction for J.D. Hostetler and also worked for the Westview School Corporation in the maintenance department. He retired from Westview in 2008 after 17 years of service. Mr. Frain was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church. Elwyn enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. On Oct.r 25, 1958, he married Marilyn J. Miller. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage. She survives in Shipshewana. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Kim Clark of Inkster, Michigan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rodney and Sherry Frain of Shipshewana, Randy and Angel Frain of Orland and Rex Frain of Goshen; six grandchildren, Heather (Jason) Norberg of LaGrange, Tondra (Brandon) Mauck of Shipshewana, Christopher (Natalie) Schruba and Chasity Schruba, all of Michigan, Kyrah Clark of Minnesota, and Erin Frain of Orland; five great-grandchildren, Brandt Norberg, Aiden Norberg, Keegan Norberg, Kyrie Mauck and Addyson Schruba; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan Lee and Barbara Frain and Pat and Susan Frain, all of Topeka. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Scott United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tammy Lugar will officiate. Burial will take place in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana, Indiana. Visitation will be held at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, on Wednesday, March 23, from 2-8 p.m. Memorials may be contributed to the , , in care of Team Heavenly Steppers.
