ELIZABETH GEORGINA BLAIR (nee KEITH) Passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the age of 97. Elizabeth was born on January 18, 1920, in Toronto, Ontario, to Dr. George Keith, Veterinary Surgeon, and his beloved wife Carrie Burrow. Elizabeth was the middle child; she survived her older sister Marian Lawson (nee Keith) and her younger brother Douglas Keith. Elizabeth had a long and healthy life and enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, painting, writing and looking after her beloved animals. Her husband, Willis Blair, died 65 years ago and Elizabeth raised her 2 cherished daughters Janie Stewart and Julie Blair (Jim Wilson) by herself. Janie and Julie will miss their mother terribly. Elizabeth had 4 grandchildren, David, Scott, Patrick and Kristin. She helped raise all 4 of them, and they will miss their "Oumie" very much. Elizabeth also has many nieces and nephews that she's left behind. The family would like to thank the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital nursing staff and physicians that made Elizabeth's last days comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to Elizabeth's favourite charity, the Toronto Humane Society. A memorial will be held at a future date for the family.
