Elizabeth "Bette" Lumzer, aged 65, passed peacefully at her home in Franklinton, NC during the early morning hours of Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, after a long battle from complications of diabetes. Bette was born on September 21st, 1952 in Morristown, NJ and lived most of her years in New Jersey before moving to North Carolina in 1993.
Her infectious laugh and sense of humor made family time both fun and entertaining. A true wild child and self-proclaimed hippie, Mrs. Lumzer was a tax accountant, avid reader, lover of music, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters.
She is survived by many friends and family, including husband, Michael of Franklinton, daughter, Amanda Davis and longtime boyfriend, Craig Schulz of Clayton, daughter, Adrianna Ratica and husband, Jeff of Raleigh, as well as her 4 granddaughters: Mckenzie Davis, Emma Ratica, honorary granddaughter, Sarah Schulz, and soon to arrive, Ella Ratica.
A celebration of life has been scheduled for Thursday, September 28th from 2pm to 4pm at City of Oaks Funeral Home & Cremations, located at 4900 Green Road Raleigh, NC 27616.
