Elizabeth A. Duggan, age 61, of Livonia and East Tawas passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, after a brief illness. Elizabeth was born on Nov. 6, 1947, to Hank and Jane Klenow. She attended Tawas Area High School, was awarded a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, became a certified public accountant and continued a career in finance, which included terms as budget manager for the city of Westland and deputy treasurer for the city of Livonia. She was also active in Livonia community affairs, including a long-time commitment to the annual Livonia Spree fundraiser. Elizabeth shared a lifelong love for the Detroit Tigers with her father and grandfather and enjoyed all of her time spent with family and friends. Elizabeth is survived by her parents; husband, James; sons, Alan Clements of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Kevin Todd (Amanda) of Livonia; grandsons, Nathan and Brendan; brothers, Steve (Theda) and Henry; and sisters, Elaine, Mary and Patricia (Doug). She is also survived by many loving stepchildren, Linda Stahl (Barry) of Redford, Kevin Duggan and Robin Duggan of East Tawas, Cheryl Stolt (John) of Oscoda and Brian Duggan (Laura) of Livonia. There are also nine step-grandchildren and Emma, a great-granddaughter. Arrangements locally have been made through Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City. Visitation took place Monday, July 13, and a funeral Mass was held at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas on Tuesday, July 14. Burial took take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in East Tawas.
