Eliza Johnston, passed away on September 23, 2025 in Amanda, Ohio, United States. She was born on September 19, 1940 to James and Margaret Johnston.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gaylord Johnston, and grandson, William Skaggs.

Survivors include her children, David Jeffery (Drema) Johnston, and Sue Ellen Johnston; grandchildren, April Johnston, Joshua Skaggs, and Stacey (Steven) Gray; great-grandchildren, Keyona, Deshja, Darrell, Brooklynn, Paisley, Quinn, Nora, Knox, Madison, and Hayden; brother and sister-in-law, James and Leona Hill; and her faithful feline companion, Princess. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Eliza graduated from Wilbur Cross High School and went on to work at the United States Postal Service. She was dedicated to her job and took pride in her work.

In her free time, Eliza enjoyed needlepoint sewing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family.

Eliza will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
