Eleanor Savala, 99, died peacefully at home on February 3, 2021 with her daughter, Emilie, by her side.
Eleanor was born January 19, 1922 in Santa Paula, CA to Elvira and Macedonio Zavala.
She enjoyed many things in life including traveling, dancing, collecting and painting porcelain dolls, and spending time with family and friends. She was an example of strength and independence to all that knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Emilie Arevalo-Balades, 9 grandkids: Chris, Larry, Pat, Steve, Monica, Liz and Frank (Arevalo), Deborah and Jody (Villa), 22 great-grandkids and 20 great-great grandkids. “Little Grams” will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Villa, Jr.; parents, Elvira and Macedonio; brothers, Ruben and David Zavala; sisters, Aurora Alvarez, Hortensia Griego and Ester Godinez; and great-grandsons, Aaron and Michael Arevalo.
Funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at Santa Clara Church with burial immediately following at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard. Anyone wishing to attend the mass will need to register at https://www.santaclaraparish.org/funeral-attendance.html.
