Elaine M. (White) Jelliff, 79, of Osceola, formerly of Holliday, passed away surrounded by loving family on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. She was born on April 5, 1937, in Dansville, N.Y., a daughter of the late Albert K. and Esther (Willis) White. Elaine was a school bus driver for Benedict's Bus Service, Wellsboro, and was the tax collector for Middlebury Township for many years. She was the wife of the late Robert Jelliff and was a member of the Middlebury Baptist Church where she was a former choir director. Elaine enjoyed bowling, sports, fishing and bingo. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Michelle Young of Kingston, N.Y., Tim and Ada Young of Blossburg; two daughters, Lisa Seals of Osceola, Brenda Young of Tioga; stepchildren, Marty Jelliff, Dave Jelliff, Debbie Woodruff, Holly LeBarron, Tim Jelliff, Brenda Jelliff; sister-in-law, Carolyn White of Stephentown, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Amber, Traci, Heather, Josh, Jamie, Timmy, Christopher, Shay; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great grandson, Ryan Adam Norman and two brothers, Alan White and Larry White. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m., at the Middlebury Baptist Church with Pastor Stan Gill officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Holliday.
