Elaine Flora Perry 86 of Antioch, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 12, 2023 in Antioch after a short illness.
Elaine was born on September 3, 1937 in Richmond California to parents Edgar Joseph and Elaine Dorothy Cyr. Elaine had 8 siblings and grew up in Richmond where she graduated high school in 1955 and married Franklin George Perry on September 24, 1955.
Elaine and Frank bought a house and moved to Antioch in 1968. They owned a butcher shop Frank’s Meats in Richmond in the 80’s, and Elaine took night classes in Child Development at Los Medanos College and eventually ran her own childcare business out of their home for several years. Elaine was into art in her early years, as well as reading, and she often volunteered at the Antioch Public Library. Elaine loved garage sales and fishing. Elaine and Frank spent a lot of time fishing on their days off, but it was not uncommon for Elaine to go fishing by herself.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 68 years Frank, as well as her three daughters; Deborah Miller, Dannette (Larry) Larsh, and DeAnna (Chuck) Perry-Pebley; one sibling, Emma Bond; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Elaine has requested no funeral service and only private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Antioch Public Library in her name.
