Edward Rau, 199Merrifield11/16/1916 - 5/15/2017Edward Rau age 100 of Merrifield died on May 15, 2017 at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.  He was born on November 16, 1916 in Duelm, MN Philip and Margaret (Jurek) Rau.  Ed was a former owner of the Torch Tavern in Princeton.  He was a retired owner of the Sunset Bay Resort on Mission Lake.Ed is survived by three sons, Roger Rau of Garrison, Randy Rau of Rocky Point, Mexico and Gary (Laurie) Rau of Merrifield; one daughter, Janice (Peter) Sjoquist of Princeton; two brothers, Donald Rau of Hanford, WA and Bill Rau of St. Cloud; two sisters, Helen Dietrich of Spokane, WA and Lillian Brackebusch of San Point, Idaho; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.Preceding Ed in death are his parents; wife Leona in 2003; son, Dennis Joseph Rau and nine siblings.Celebration of Life will be 1:30 pm on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the funeral home in Crosby.
