Edward L. Arnold, age 85, of Towanda, Pa., passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 13, 2016.Edward was born on Sept. 22, 1931, the son of the late Charles Eugene and Augusta Webster Arnold in Bethlehem, Pa. He married the former Susan Kacsmar in 1962 and the couple was together for 40 years until her death on Jan. 28, 2002. Edward was a self-employed truck driver and he drove truck for 40 years. As a truck driver, he visited every state expect for Montana. Edward proudly served his country as a paratrooper for the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He loved horses, he would raise, tend to and ride them during his younger years. He liked to watch western movies and landscape. Edward is survived by his sons, Edward C. Arnold and wife Becky of Lancaster, Pa., and Larry E. Arnold of Rome, Pa.; daughter, Deborah Vosburg of Allentown, Pa.; and several grandchildren. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters that live in the Allentown area; special care-giver, Brenda Rice of Towanda, Pa.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. A graveside service with military honors for Edward will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the Ss. Peter and Paul's Cemetery in Towanda, Pa. The military honors service will be conducted by the members of the Wyalusing American Legion Post No. 534.
