Edward Olean, 91, of Seekonk, Massachusetts, passed on January 16, 2021. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Thomas and Alice (Paul) Olean and also husband to Patricia (Haseltine) Olean.
Mr. Olean received his private pilot’s license at the age of 16 and enjoyed flying all of his life. He was a co-owner and operator of Thomas Olean and sons Plumbing before retiring. He was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister and altar server. He was a man of integrity and great faith who loved spending time with his family. After retirement he planted a four acre apple orchard which became very successful.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Susan Albritton of Bristol, Linda Saleeba and her husband Raymond “Chico” of Seekonk, one son, Peter Olean and his wife Jo-Anne of Seekonk, fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was the father of the late David D. Olean.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be private.
