Funeral services for Edith Wilma Kovaly, age 88, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Road, Painesville, where friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. A Painesville Twp. resident, Wilma passed away on Nov. 21, 2016 at the Lantern of Madison. The daughter of William and Edith (Woolley) Davey was born on June 13, 1928 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. She worked as a stenographer for the Royal Canadian Air Force, Edith continued working as a secretary for various offices in the United States, and retired as a secretary for Avery-Dennison Corp. Edith was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She loved life and enjoyed performing in various musicals including singing solos at church. She is survived by son, David (Nancy) Cunningham; daughter, Vicki Snowbrick; grandchildren, Jessica (John) Jones, Amanda (Zachariah) Thornton, Kevin (Jennifer) Grierson, Jason (Taffe) Cunningham, Dawn (Roy) Mathes, Ian Cunningham, Keith Cunningham, Sarah Cunningham, and Melissa (David) Vogrin; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Soper. Wilma was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Gann; husband, John Kovaly; and her parents, William and Edith (Woolley) Davey. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville. Contributions in Mrs. Kovaly's memory may be made to the Memorial fund of St. Paul Lutheran Church
