Edgwinna Johnson also known as “Gwinna” , age 40 a beloved member of the Coweta community, member of place of refuge ministries in Coweta County passed on January 25,2025
. Born on June 20, 1984, Edgwinna lived a life filled with kindness and compassion. She touched the lives of so many with her warm smile and gentle spirit.
Edgwinna was adopted by the loving Taylor Family (Gregory Taylor Sr and Denise Taylor) at the very small age of 10 years old. Her parents were devastated after finding out she had Lupus at the innocent age of 14. Her parents did. Everything they needed to do and everything they learned to do to make sure Edgwinna got the best care and best doctors at all times. She was a very optimistic person who decided to start living her life In her later years she started traveling she loved singing with her family and she loved music. She loved any DIY projects and also making those around her happy.
she wanted to pursue nursing to learn more about the lupus that she had, and also because her grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, she was overjoyed when she learned that her sister Lenisa got into a nursing program to pursue what she could not do to her health .
She is survived by her children Nora smith and Elise smith. Her Father Gregory Taylor Sr. and mother Denise Taylor also her siblings Nicole Johnson Lolita Brim ,Lenita Taylor, Lenisa Taylor , Miracle Johnson and Gregory Taylor jr. her grandmother, Bertha Nelson, and many more family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Edgwinna's legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to have her in their lives. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished by many.
