Earnest "Ernie" Hillson of San Leandro, California, passed away at home on July 25, 2022. Earnest was born on August 23rd,1940 in Waynedale, Indiana to Franklin and Edith Kenston Hillson. Ernie enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18 where he served as a medic for 7 years. After being stationed at the Presidio Army base in Monterey, California, Ernie retired and married the love of his life, LeeAnn on May 11th, 1967. Prior to retirement, Ernie worked as a paramedic with the Alameda County Emergency Medical Services for 23 years. Ernie is survived my his wife, daughters Kerri (Jim), Stacy, son Steve, grandchildren Theo, Francis, Landon, and Lilly, and brothers Ken (Caroline) and Robert (Mary). He is proceded in death by parents Franklin and Edith, son Gregory, and brother Larry. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at his home on August 2nd, 2022 at 1 PM.
