Vande Hey, EarlEarl Joseph Vande Hey, age 90 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday April 7, 2017 at Rennes Health & Rehab in Appleton. He was born on September 27, 1926 in the Town of Holland to his parents, Peter & Odelia (Meulemans) Vande Hey. On September 2, 1948 he married Mary Ann Williamson at St. Therese Church in Appleton. He was a very devoted husband & father always instilling in his children the importance of God & family He also passed on the trait of working hard as he showed working full time at White Clover Dairy in Hollandtown as a field man - where he worked for 45 years- and keeping up a farm in Hilbert to provide for his wife & six children. In his retirement he was always happy to help out when they needed him as Grandpa Patrol at Holy Spirit Church in Darboy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. When he wasn't busy helping others, he was crafting wooden keepsakes for his children & grandchildren. He enjoyed a round of golf and riding with the Maders horse and wagon playing sheepshead. Dad enjoyed an evening cocktail with his Planter's Peanuts and never turned down a cookie!He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann, and his six children: Son: Tom (Sedona) Vande Hey, Daughters: Barb (Les) Lamers, Sherry (Elmer Jr.) Schmitz, Sue (Bruce) Nierode, Judy (Chuck) Kranzusch, & Connie (Dan) Diener , 12 Grandchildren: Sarah Vande Hey, Heather (Matt) Derks, Stefanie (Cory) Steward, Shana (Kevin) Delcollo, Adam Schmitz & friend Shaleen, Kimberlee Gast, Sheila Vander Linden (Ryan), Amanda Nierode, Trevor (Maggie) Kranzusch, Chad Kranzusch, Ross (Angela) Diener, Emily (Don) Franklin, 10 Great-Grandchildren: Macy & Brock Derks, Mabel, Dane & Burke Steward, Lexie & Tyler Delcollo, Annabella Vander Linden Hannah Diener & Gavin (& baby on the way) Franklin Brothers: Eugene & Art (Therese) Vande Hey, Sisters: Gladys Tennesen, Sister Eugenia Vande Hey, & Grace Zwick, He is further survived by his wife's family and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Fr. Robert Vande Hey, brothers-in-law: Leroy Tennessen, & Marv Zwick, sister-in-law: "Skip" Vande Hey, his wife's brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters & sisters-in-law. Funeral services for Earl will be at 12 noon on Tuesday April 11th, 2017 at HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH IN DARBOY. (HOLY ANGELS SITE) with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family & Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name.
