E. Joseph "Joe" SilverZANESVILLE: E. Joseph "Joe" Silver, 85, of Zanesville died at 4:00am Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Fairfield Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.He was born on September 24, 1928 in Moundsville, WV the son of Enoch Joseph Sr. and Josephine Oldesec Silver.Joe was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a
WWII Marine Veteran. He had been employed for many years at Essex Wire and along with his wife Martha owned & operated the Prestige Limousine Service. He is survived by his wife, Martha Paxton Silver of the home; his children, Stephanie (Steve) Wolfe, Stephen (Marcina) Silver, Kimberly Gordon, Michael (Trieva) Silver, Sterling (Karen) Silver, Aimee (Eric) Mitchell; 15 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Kady; many nieces and nephews and cousins. He will also sadly be missed by his pet dogs, Tipper and Buddyluv.Joe was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife and mother of five children, Vonda M "Edge" Silver in 1988. There will be no public visitation observed and a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Saturday, December 7th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 144 North Fifth Street. Military honors and presentation of the flag will begin at 10:25am at the church before the mass.
