Dustin Collins Price, 33, of Vista, California, passed away on October 25, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1990, at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, CA, to Stella Brandt and Rod Price. Dustin was known as a kind soul and a compassionate individual.

Dustin is survived by his mother Stella Brandt, father Rod Price, stepfather Jeff Brandt, brother Dillon Price, sister-in-law Rebecca, step brothers Gordon Brandt, Caleb Brandt and Lucas Brandt, and sister-in-law Greyson. He is also survived by his Aunt Ingrid Valk, Uncle Walter Valk, and Aunt Irene Valk, as well as step-grandparents Jack and Bonnie Brandt.

Dustin attended San Marcos High School and later pursued a career as a server at Silvergate Assisted Living, where his Aunt Ingrid resided. He was dedicated to his work and brought joy to the residents he served.

In his free time, Dustin had a passion for weather and storm chasing. He grew up playing wiffle ball with his neighborhood friends, and joined the local little league. Dustin enjoyed watching sports, particularly baseball, and was a devoted Padres fan. Dustin found solace in these hobbies and cherished the moments spent pursuing them. Dustin’s favorite time of year was Fall and he looked forward to spending time with family celebrating the holidays.

As a child, Dustin attended Ranch View Baptist Church in Encinitas with his family, and as an adult had recently begun attending Awaken Church in San Marcos. His faith was an important aspect of his life, providing guidance and strength.

A prized possession of Dustin’s was his six-month sobriety chip, gifted to him by his mother.

The family would like to pay particular thanks to Dustin’s cherished friends - Dayne Mueller and his wife Lisa who were a driving force in Dustin’s life, Kevin Kennedy who was a big support and friend to Dustin, and all the men in recovery who accepted Dustin without judgment - as well as thanks to family friends Aunt Jannell and The Gott Family who were influential in Dustin’s upbringing and love of sports.  

Dustin Collins Price will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and the community he touched with his kind and compassionate spirit. The family is grateful to know that Dustin is finally at peace.

The arrangements for Dustin will be handled by North County Cremation Services in San Marcos, CA. 

A Celebration of Life honoring Dustin’s memory will be held in San Marcos on November 18 at 12:30 PM, all are welcome.
