Duane Richard BolyardOAKFIELD: Duane Richard Bolyard 70 of Oakfield passed away at his home on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at 12:50 am. He was the husband of Shirley Jean (Forgrave) Bolyard, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage on September 5, 2017. He was born on November 13, 1946 in New Lexington, he was the eldest son of the late Valis R. and Bernice E. Russell Bolyard. He was a 1964 graduate of Miller High School and joined the United States Army and took jump training with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, he was later deployed to the Dominican Republic from 1964-67; he was the previous owner of Carpet Crafts of Shawnee and was an over the road truck driver, retiring from Walmart in 2013.In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by 2 sisters Phyllis (David) Simpson and Patsy (Paul) Garlinger all of Florida; 6 children Connie J. Bolyard, Cathy (Joe) Weber, Duane (Mindy) Bolyard II, Cindy (Wayne) Tolliver, Carla R. Blosser and Christy L. Wiseman; 22 grandchildren Derek (Kim), Ryan (Sierra), Lindsey (Nathan), Colin (Shiasa), Justin (Megan), Coy (Ashley), Nicholas, Dalton, Shawn (Megan), Cassandra, Gage, Clay, Sebastian, Jenna, Christian, Alexandra, Cole, Dutch, Sylas, Duane III, Flint and Jerrek; 8 great-grandchildren Abigail, Emma, Brantley, Jace, Gunner, Silas, Maklaylynn and Carter.Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Valerie Rae Bolyard and a granddaughter Deandra Lee Bolyard.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday September 29, 2017 at the Oakfield Wesleyan Church 3616 State Route 13 SE Crooksville with Pastor Dan Hinkle officiating.
