Douglas Handcock, born on July 4th, 1954 in Loganville, Georgia, United States, passed away on April 11th, 2024. He was the beloved son of Thomas Handcock and Fannie Ruth Handcock. Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Handcock, his brother Gerald Handcock, and his sister Martha Green. Douglas is survived by his two children, Ken Handcock and Alicia Handcock, as well as one grandchild.

Douglas attended Jefferson High School where he excelled academically and participated in various extracurricular activities. After completing his education, he began working at Jefferson Cotton Mill, where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment.

A man of faith, Doug attended Paradise AME Church in Jefferson Georgia, where he found spiritual solace and community. His love for dancing, singing, and entertaining people extended beyond his church life, as he enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center engaging in arts and crafts.

Outside of his professional life, Douglas had a passion for dancing. He would often spend his free time practicing and improving his skills on the dance floor. His love for dancing brought joy to those around him and left a lasting impact on the dance community.

Known for his Captivating smile and Love for Kentucky fried chicken Doug was a lovable person who deeply cared about his family.

Doug had a special bond with his son, Ken Hancock, daughter Alisha Hancock, grandson A. Brown, brother in law Willie (Carolyn) Green, and host of nieces, Michelle Browner, Patrice Green, Juiet Green, Wanda Daniel, nephews, Chris ( Denise) Green, Martin Daniel, Eugene Daniel, Andre Daniel, Anthony Daniel and great great nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.

‘Douglas will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering dedication to his family. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
