On January 6, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul in Charleston, South Carolina. Douglas West, born on March 2, 1967, brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

Douglas worked as a trucker before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, finding solace in the peacefulness of the water.

He is survived by his daughter Bridgette West and her spouse Cindy Maloney. Douglas was also a proud grandparent to two grandchildren who brought light into his life.

Although his life was cut short by a fatal heart attack, Douglas will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter and kind heart. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he left behind.
