Dorothy L. "Dottie" Wistar1914 - 2016Dorothy "Dottie" L. Wistar, 102, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at Brookside Care Center.She was born on July 10, 1914, to the late Arthur T. and Clara (Nary) Behr in Philadelphia, Pa. She was educated in Brookline, Pa.On Oct. 19, 1940, she married Richard Wyatt Wistar II in Philadelphia. He preceded her in death in 1987.Dottie was very active in the Women's Club in Mt. Prospect, Ill. She loved animals and was a big supporter of the Humane Society. Dottie was a world traveler and loved Kenosha especially the downtown area and the lake. She was a very artistic woman who enjoyed painting and crafts. She was also a docent for the Kenosha Musuem. Dottie is survived by her loving children Richard Wyatt (Glenda) Wistar III of Phoenix, Ariz., Judy C. Wood of Phoenix, and Mark (David Hankins) Wistar of Pleasant Prairie; her sister Ruth Gwin of Conshohocken, Pa.; her grandchildren Chip (Tracy) Kozmer, Michael (Michelle) Kozmer, Ian Wistar and Aric (Jacquie) Wistar; her great grandchildren Mariah Kozmer, McKenzie Kozmer, Zachary Kozmer, Hayden Kozmer, Kendra Kozmer, Lily Wistar, Myles Wistar, Wyatt Wistar, Andrew Wistar, Andrew Wistar, Kasie Wistar and Hayden Wistar; and her friend/caregiver Dhelice Moore.She is preceded in death by her siblings Clara Borrie, Violet Young and Arthur Behr.A Celebration of Life for Dottie will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home.
