Dorothy Mae Pabst, at the age of 101, beloved mother, sister, and grandma, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Homestead Memory Care Program at the Village at Northrise. She was born on April 15, 1915 in Poynette, Wisconsin, to Jasper and Mildred Tomlinson. Mrs. Pabst was a 64-year resident of Las Cruces and was employed by White Sands Missile Range for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Kenneth Pabst, and children Dorothy and John.Dorothy is survived by two sons Don Pabst and wife Judy of Las Cruces, NM and Robert Pabst and wife Judith of Winter Haven, FL, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Hubert Tomlinson of Poynette, WI.Dorothy was active at the Munson Senior Center for many years and you could always find her at the Saturday night dances. She won a gold medal in Senior Olympics and numerous other awards for bowling. Known for her sense of adventure, she performed in a circus in her youth, went on a hot air balloon ride for her 90Th birthday and rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle on her 100th birthday. She touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered for her kindness, humor and love of life.A special thanks to Bonnie Zeiler and the staff of the Homestead Memory Care Program at the Village of Northrise for their loving care.A private celebration of Dorothy's life is planned.
