Dorothy Ostermeyer (nee Urban) of Oscoda, formerly of Denver, Colo., age 79, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Dorothy was born on April 3, 1933 in Chicago, Ill. to Albert and Marie (nee Kochalka) Urban.Dorothy worked as a teacher's aide and nursing assistant for many years. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and dogs. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.She is survived by her beloved daughter, Judy Ostermeyer; son, James "Chip" Ostermeyer; daughter-in-law, Tricia Ostermeyer; and grandchildren, Mark and Jennifer Ostermeyer.Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5300 North U.S. 23, Oscoda. Monsignor Brucksch will be officiating the mass.
