Dorothy "Dotti" Nass, age 76, died on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 at St. Marys Hospital in Spring Valley, Minn. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hindt Funeral Home, from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, with a prayer service to follow. Dorothy Bekius was born on April 22, 1940, in Mora, Minn.,  to Clarence and Anna (Visser) Bekius. She married Norbert "Bert" Nass in September 1964. Dotti was a nurse anesthetist who began her career in Spring Valley, then transferred to St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minn., and retired from Mayo in Rochester, Minn. Dotti and her husband enjoyed traveling to their cabin in Outing, Minn. Dotti loved spending time with her grandchildren and baking them birthday cakes every year. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, enjoyed reading, playing cards and her cats. She is survived by her daughter; Kathy (Gary) Bly, of Spring Valley; and grandchildren, Nick Bly, of Minneapolis, and Karli Bly, of Winona, Minn.
