Dorothy M. Haglund, age 86, of Harrisville died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Iosco Medical Care Facility. She was born on Oct. 16, 1928 in Tawas City to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Blust. Dorothy married the love of her life, Herbert H. Haglund, on May 26, 1951. She lived in Tawas City until moving with her husband, Herbert, to the Lincoln/Harrisville area in 1958. Dorothy worked for several years at Muehlbeck's Restaurant in addition to being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, homemaking, family gatherings and time at the hunting camps. Dorothy was also a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Harrisville. She is survived by her eight children, Herman Haglund, Debra Al-Duwaisan, Suzanne (Arthur) Lentz, Herbert Haglund, Diane (Richard) Schuman, Douglas (Bruni) Haglund, Mark (Rachel) Haglund and Ronald (Renee) Haglund; two brothers, Bernard Blust and Donald Blust; sister, Veronica Gracik; and 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Haglund in 2009; two sisters, Grace Misner and Bernice Geresy; and three brothers, Jim Blust, Harold Blust and Kenneth Blust. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18 at 11 a.m. (instate at 10 a.m.) at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in East Tawas. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City.
