Dorothy Laugharn Dorothy Laugharn passed away on September 18, 2017 in Scottsdale AZ, aged 89. Dorothy was born on November 11, 1927 in Los Angeles. She experienced loss as a child with the deaths of her brother, sister, and father by the time she was 13, but this made her resilient, even unsinkable. She grew into a woman who was hard-working and determined, but also warm and sociable, and devoted to family and friends. Dorothy graduated from UCLA in 1949 with a degree in business administration, and married Richard Laugharn on Dec 13, 1957. She made a career in administration in Los Angeles, working at BP, legal and architectural firms, and retiring as office manager of the legal department at the aerospace company, TRW (now Northrop Grumman). After retirement in 1988, Dorothy lived for 24 years in Olympia, and then in Santa Cruz, California and in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was preceded in death by husband Richard in 2012, and is survived by her sons Richard (Deb) and Peter (Marie) and grandchildren Catherine, Hannah, Hayden, Lily and Marc. At her request, there will be no funeral service.
