Dorothy Eileen JesseZANESVILLE: Dorothy Eileen Jesse, 86, of Zanesville, passed away at 6:36 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on February 26, 1927, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late William H. and Anna Mattey Evans. She was a homemaker and a member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church.Surviving are two sons, Marc Douglas (Nancy) Jesse of Fairview Park, OH and Richard "Rick" (Polly) Jesse of Zanesville; a daughter, Constance "Connie" (Gerald) Riggle of Smyrna, DE; nine grandchildren, Gary Riggle, Jennifer Riggle-Regelski, Ryan Riggle, Slade Jesse, Brooke Jesse, Joel Jesse, Ryan Porter, Jared Jesse and Kali Jesse; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Fay Mills of Port Orange, FL.; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ed" Walter Jesse, who died April 27, 2009; and two sisters, Mildred Lane and Anna Mae Pierce. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Sue Ellen Skinner officiating.
