She brought strength and faith to all that she encountered. She is preceded in her death by her husband, Hart Shoemaker; her daughter, Nancy Shoemaker Honey; her daughter, Becky Shoemaker Slater. She is survived by her grandchildren, Mark Honey, John Slater, William Slater, Susan Honey, and Gary Slater. Services will take place at 1:00PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay, Houston, Texas 77024. There will also be a visitation at 9:00AM preceding a graveside service at 10:00AM, Friday, August 4, 2017 at Elmwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 5750 US Highway 77, Abilene, Texas 79606.
