On June 17, 2025, the world lost a ray of sunshine with the passing of Dorothy Ragsdale, a beloved resident of Athens, Georgia. Born on March 31, 1950, Dorothy brought joy and laughter to all who crossed her path.

With a career as a talented hairdresser, Dorothy spent many years making her clients feel beautiful inside and out. She retired in 2015, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Outside of work, Dorothy's true pride and joy were her three children: Sherry, April, and Sharon. She was also blessed with three grandchildren Trianna, Trico, and Tevin who brought her endless love and happiness.

Known for her infectious smile and kind heart, Dorothy will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, forever remembered for the light she brought into the world.
