QUEENS VILLAGE, NEW YORK - Dorothy Davis, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She lived a full and happy life, one that was filled with joy, laughter, and so much love.
Dorothy was born on November 15, 1947, to her parents Edward Ray Smith and Mary Ann Smith, in Queens Village, New York, United States, where she lived her entire life. She grew up in the area and attended the Queen Academy High High School.
At the age of 20, Dorothy married the love of her life, James Newton Davis, and together, they had four children, Terry Wayne Weatherbees,Tony Weatherbee, Sylvia Weatherbee and Milton Weatherbee. Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother, always putting the needs of her family first.
She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed doting on her four grandchildren. Her warm and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed gardening, playing card games, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen. She was an amazing cook and could whip up a delicious meal in no time. Her family always looked forward to visiting her for dinner.
Although she may no longer be with us in person, Dorothy's memory and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Rest in peace, Dorothy. You will always be remembered and loved.
