Doris E. RohtertOAK HARBOR: Doris E. Rohtert, age 95, formerly of Woodville, OH most recently of Oak Harbor, OH passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Ottawa County Riverview Health Care, Oak Harbor. She was born on April 30, 1922 in Fremont, OH to Harry and Mildred (Bahnsen) Raehrs. On October 16, 1948, she married Elwood "Bud" Rohtert in Fremont and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1998. In 1940, she graduated from Fremont Ross High School and then in 1943 graduated from Toledo Hospital School of Nursing where she received her RN. Doris was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville where she was a Sunday school teacher and was active in other church organizations. In her spare time, she ran the Red Cross Blood Mobile in Woodville with her husband, volunteered at the Lutheran Old Folks Home and Luther Home of Mercy. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed her family, baking and sewing. Doris is survived by her daughter: Susan (James) Hamen of Pemberville, OH and their family: Kevin (Elizabeth) Hamen and their children: Alison and Theodore of Westerville, David (Leandra) Hamen and their children: Devyn and Addisyn of Toledo, Sarah (Kyle) Valentine and their daughter: Mackenzie of Stow, son: Charles (Barbara) Rohtert Sr. of Port Clinton, OH and their family Charles (fiancé: Tessa) Rohtert Jr. and daughter: Gracie of Northwood and Zach (Alyx) Rohtert of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Bud and sister: Lois Linke. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10:00 -11:00 AM at Solomon Lutheran Church, 305 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Kristina Ahlman. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh Funeral Home, Woodville. Consideration for memorial contributions may be given to: Lutheran Social Services, Luther Home of Mercy or Stein Hospice.
