Mrs. Dora Ann Malone McCombs of Rome, Georgia passed on Sunday March 01,2020 at Redmond Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Dora Ann Malone McCombs departed this life on Sunday March 01,2020 after a brief illness. She was born on October 21, 1941 to the late Will and Elizabeth Malone in Rome, Georgia. Dora spent her entire life in Rome where she attended Main High School, worked at Hostess Bakery, and retired from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital.
Dora was a faithful member of the Classy Ladies Social Club. She served as Vice President, then President until her health declined. She loved going to Life of Jesus in Action Holiness Church and listening to her son-in-law, Bishop Bobby Grier, Sr., preach the word.
Mrs. McCombs was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, one daughter, five brothers, two sisters, and a special friend, Mr. Jesse Mann.
Dora leaves her memories to be cherished by her sons, Larry Malone, John Frazier, Andrew (Sherrie) McCombs, Forrest (Beatrice) McCombs, and Hubert (Ellen) McCombs; daughters, Shirley (Eddie) House and Thirley (Bobby) Grier; sisters, Mrs. Edith Malone Cunningham of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Mrs. Merriam (Hugh Don) Caldwell of Rome, Georgia; special niece, Jackie Jenkins who took care of her during her illness; special friends, Mrs. Josephine King, Ms. Linda Wise, Mrs. Mary Ann Gordon, Mrs. Rose Dupree, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
