Donna Belle HoaglandDonna Belle Hoagland, 84, of Melba, passed away of natural causes in her home on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, November 7, at the Melba Friends Church, 301 Randolph Dr. Melba. zeyerfuneralchapel.com.Donna was born on May 21, 1931 to Rudolph & Clarissa Janoschek at their home in Kuna, ID, & then later adopted by Charles Moore who married Clarissa after the death of Rudolph. Donna attended Melba schools where she was very active. In high school, she was a track star, cheerleader, and Valedictorian.On June 26, 1949, Donna married E. Keith Hoagland, her high school sweetheart, in her parent's home. Donna & Keith adopted four children: Kathy, Greg, Dale, and Jana. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was also an active member of the Melba Community where she helped with the production of the Melba Auction from its first year, serving as an officer from '67-'70. When not working as an officer, she continued her service working on the auction board and helping at the pie table. She continued volunteering her time and donating her handmade baby quilts. Donna was known at the action for her potato salad, and she looked forward each year to the night it would be made as it would allow her to make new friends who brought her joy and laughter, helping to keep her young at heart.Donna loved working in her garden tending her vegetables, roses, and many other flowers. She also loved going camping and fishing with family and friends.Christmases were made especially memorable by her scratch waffles and ham, with hot chocolate of course, and the stockings that each grandchild and great-grandchild would look forward to every year.Donna is survived by her children: Kathy Smith, Greg (Rita) Hoagland, and Jana (Keith) Moore, all of Melba; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Darlene & RuDene; brother Larry; husband Keith; son Dale; granddaughters Jenna Hoagland & Lisa Smith; grandson Bradley Monroe and great-grandson Noah Smith.Donna's life was truly blessed by family, her many close friends, and her love for her community.
