Donald A. MinorCroswellDonald Albert Minor, 86, of Croswell, died Monday, July 31, 2017.He was born on April 12, 1931 in St. Clair to the late Albert and Ethel Minor. He married Helen Forrest on March 11, 1985 in Bakersfield, California.Mr. Minor served in the U.S.
Army during the
Korean War and was awarded a
Purple Heart. He was employed as a boiler maker, pipefitter and welder with Yeager Bridge Co. prior to his retirement. Donald enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, and loved to buy and sell collectibles. He was a Life Member of Charles Schoor
V.F.W. Post #796 and Chapter #12.He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Helen; children, Marsha (Greg) Dunbar, Donald (Veronica) Minor Jr., Joy Crocker, Janey (Tommy) Brennan, Kathie Jo (Tom) Woolman, Arlene Shilling, Angela Shilling, Andrea Smith, Everett (Diana) Shilling, Spring Shilling, Joyce (Kevin Loviska) Edmondson, and Heather (Rick) Grossi; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Edythe Minor; sister, Jean Tracy; daughter, Lynette Minor; granddaughter, Samantha Baunoch; and grandson, Brandon Shilling.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Pastor Carl Edmondson will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
