Donald Alfred MartinSt GeorgeDonald Alfred Martin, age 76, passed away on July 4, 2017. He was born on June 28, 1941, to Lorna Doone Martin in Winnepeg Manitoba, Canada. He was raised and went to school in Sudbury Ontario, Canada. He served an LDS mission in the Toronto Ontario, Canada area. Don loved to serve and was always looking for the best in others. He was a hard worker & had a special gift of always making others feel loved and accepted. He was an avid fan of the Cubs baseball team and loved playing softball. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Don is survived by: his wife & sweetheart of 33 years Debbie Martin; his children Kimberly Mitchell of Provo, Utah, Michelle (Doug) Buttler of Orem, Utah, Shannon Martin (Rhys McKeehan) of Ivins, Utah, Shawn (Wendi) Martin of Eagle Mtn., Utah, and Shane (Marki) Martin of St. George, Utah; 21 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and his sister Darlynn (Jim) Dunn of Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by: his mother; and 2 sons Donnie and Duane Martin. Special thanks to the Alpha Hospice Health team who took exceptional care of Don for the past year. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11:00 am at St. George 9th Ward LDS Chapel at 550 E. 700 S., St. George, Utah.
