Donald L. Ancevic1927 - 2014Donald L. Ancevic, 87, a resident of Kenosha, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Azura Memory Care.Donald was born on May 16, 1927, in Kenosha, Wis., to the late Louis W. and Lorraine (Warren) Ancevic. He attended Kenosha schools. Donald entered Navy Coast Guard Reserve in 1945 and proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from March 1, 1945 to May 18, 1946. On May 17, 1947 he married Patricia A. Cogell in Waukegan Ill. He was employed by American Motors Corporation and retired after 36 years on June 1, 1982 to fully enjoy his hobbies. Donald was a member of the American Legion and National Gun Association. He was an avid hunter (deer, antelope, pheasant, duck, geese, rabbit, squirrel, turkey and grouse). He was also an expert fisherman of Great Lakes and inland lakes. Donald was a fly tying specialist and sold flies and jigs to Tyson. Hunting wild mushrooms and asparagus were other favorite pastimes. Donald is survived by his son, Mark (Kathy) Ancevic of Colorado Springs, Colo., and daughter Cynthia (Arthur) Egleston of Clermont, Fla. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jason (Tammi Finwell) Kublik, Bradley (Ann) Ancevic, Corey Kublik and Grant Ancevic, and four great grandchildren, Maxwell, Miles, Hunter and Dylan. He is further survived by brothers Russell (Barbara) Ancevic of Kenosha and Milton (Carol) Ancevic of Delavan, Wis.Donald was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; his parents, Louis and Lorraine; and his sister, Jean.Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Kemper Center Founders Hall in Kenosha. (6501-3rd Avenue) Visitation with the family will take place on Friday in Founders Hall from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
