Dixie L. ShueDALLASTOWNDixie L. (Dehoff) Shue, 79, passed away peacefully at the York Hospital on Monday, February 1, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late M. Edward Shue for 60 years. Dixie was born on March 4, 1936, in Yoe, and was the daughter of the late Leo and Esther (Smeltzer) Dehoff. Dixie worked as a payroll specialist for Caterpillar Tractor and retired after more than 30 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown where she was a former Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Golden Agers and served on the travel committee, as well as a member of the York County Farm Women.She is survived by her three children, Michael David Shue, Bret Edward Shue and his wife, Melinda, and Lisa Ann Bush and her husband, Kevin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colby Shue, Zachary Shue (Brynne), Logan Shue, William Blymire (Maria), Jason Blymire, Benjamin Blymire (Ashley), and Brandon Blymire; great-grandchildren, Laurel, Cassie, Charley, Ellie, Aslynn and Laylah; as well as her siblings, Ann Simcik, Carolyn Schultz, and David Dehoff. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley Dehoff.A funeral service to honor Dixie's life will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, at Christ Lutheran Church, 126 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313 with the Rev. Lawrence Cunnings officiating. A viewing will take place on Friday, February 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
